On Saturday, April 3, 2004, SMASH led the San Diego Chapter of Protest Warriors on their first mission against the radical anti-war group International A.N.S.W.E.R., who were marching on 32nd St. Naval Station to "encourage resistance within the military." The anti-war crowd numbered about 50; the Protest Warriors mustered fifteen.
Thanks to Richard Armstrong, Matt Hoy, and Mike McLaren for sharing their excellent photographs.
shout out to scott and the other protest warriors! i had a blast. sorry i missed the march. my wife thinks i'm a big hero(heh). i hope u lifted one for me at chueys! peace thru victory!
Until I saw the photos of your signs that, from a distance, look like they are really anti-war signs. I don't like that. The media is using you to pretend that more people were protesting. Your bodies in the distance and the large lettering of the "War has never solved anything" signs...serve the media just fine and show good looking male citizens protesting to boot. I tend, therefore, to disagree.
