The Meltdown

Six days after the storm, note the ice still on the roofs!
Over one inch of compressed ice on this bridge
Don't let the footprints fool you, this ice is hard as cement.
That's Pohick Creek in the background
Still mostly frozen
The ice breaks up when the current gets strong...
...but forms back up downstream.

Climbing this hill was challenging.
Wipeout! It took a minute for him to get back up.

This car hasn't moved in six days.
Look at these photos. Due to rising temperatures, the ice is melting. Climate scientists say that it might be gone by the end of the week. Once it's gone, it's gone forever.

I blame Al Gore.
