Look at these photos. Due to rising temperatures, the ice is melting. Climate scientists say that it might be gone by the end of the week. Once it's gone, it's gone forever.
I blame Al Gore.

Most of these photos were taken by Mrs. Smash. Not only is she the Most Beautiful Woman on Earth, she's also a better photographer than her husband.

San Diego River Flood
|
|
A winter storm brought high winds and several inches of rain to San Diego, resulting in downed trees, blackouts, and flooding.
These photos were taken at the western (low) end of Mission Valley, where the San Diego River spilled over its banks.

CodePink "Day of Action" Against HUMMERS
|
|
YESTERDAY WAS EARTH DAY. You probably didn't notice.
In Burlingame, dozens of activists from the feminist/peace group CodePink gathered in front of a HUMMER dealership and took turns bashing the hated SUV, the San Francisco Examiner reports.
| Quote: | Protesters smashed a bright yellow Hummer with a baseball bat and it fell apart like a cardboard piñata. Actually, it was a cardboard piñata -- part of an Earth Day anti-Hummer protest Thursday.
"We're not encouraging people to hit real Hummers or Hummer owners," clarified Medea Benjamin, co-founder of Code Pink Women for Peace, which sponsored similar protests throughout the country. |
Here in San Diego, CodePink only managed to muster eight activists. I stopped by to chat with the ladies for a few minutes on my way home from work, and snapped a few photos.
Nobody else seemed to even notice they were there.

Gone Fishin'
|

|
The SMASH family (and some friends) spent a week on the Mayan Riviera, shopping, eating, drinking, snorkeling, sight-seeing, and of course, fishing.
